1980 4-speed Corvette

I’ve owned this classic Corvette since 2012. It’s been well cared for, and I hate to sell it, but it’s served its purpose in my life, fulfilled a childhood dream, and now it’s time to pass it on to the next Corvette lover. Perhaps I’ll get a different Vette down the road. Originally a TX car, it now resides in NW Michigan (Benzonia, just south of Traverse City). A great example of a classic car. Not perfect, but darn good. Asking $15,000

The combination of the 4-speed and the Dark Claret interior and exterior make this a somewhat rare Vette by 1980. It has always been garage-stored since I’ve owned it and has never seen weather worse than a surprise rain sprinkle since 2012. While the small block 350 is not original to the car as far as I can tell, the combination of true dual exhaust and the completely refurbished and re-geared differential has always made it plenty peppy enough for me. The odometer shows 82,728 miles. The car will come with a clean MI title, variety of manuals, any extra parts I may have, a cover, and any other odds and ends that I can locate in the garage. See below for the highlights of the work and repairs done. As most do- I’ve spent a LOT of time and money on the car that will never be recovered. That’s okay. I enjoyed the hobby. -Chris, email at relax@betsieriversideresort.com

  • Have a new-in-box set of Global West tubular upper control arms (CTA-31A)- value- >$600

If I kept the car, what would I work on next? I’d install the Global West upper control arms and perhaps refurb or replace the lowers, then install new springs and shocks up front to compliment the reworked rear suspension. Then I’d probably begin replacing window and t-top seals as mine have some wear and age. After that? Not much! Drive it. Enjoy it. Pass it on…

As we own our own business, we are often working long hours in-season (May-Oct). Please contact me to arrange for a showing/test drive, but I’m happy to answer any questions via email at any time! We understand that living in NW Michigan would make it a trip to see the car, but it’s beautiful up here and worth the drive up north!
